It was a warm day, not a cloud in the sky as I talked to JaLee on her cell phone reminding her I was leaving the next day going back to Texarkanna, TX. "Oh mom I'm not forgetting, I'll be there and we'll spend the day together,.. I promise" We said our love you's and we hung up at around 11:34am.
2pm. Her partner called asking if I had seen JaLee? "No not yet, but I am still waiting on her" I replied. Thinking to myself, I knew JaLee and Christy had not been getting along very well, I thought JaLee had gone to a friends house, but still annoyed she had not come by to see me.
4pm Christy" I still ain't seen or heard from JaLee and if she's out which that bitch Angie she ain't coming back here, I've had enough" Gheez I thought, this has been going on for 3 years.
6pm Christy " Well she got there yet? No I replied but now I'm worried. Let's start calling all her friends. Christy stated she had already done so. OK,.. Call the hospitals and jails... phone went dead...
J.W (her dad) called and said "Kathy you better get to the hospital JaLee has been in an accident" OMG... what would have taken 15 minutes to drive I got there in 5... I immedantly saw a security guard so i was directed to ICU.
There she was listed as Jane Doe.
As she lay on life support and with a Traumatic-Brain-Injury not expected to make it thru the night.
God she is only 33 years old,..
It hurts so much to relive that night I write as tears flow and I can write no more tonight ...
